Wow! What a great idea! The main project we’re working on at my company has decided that we’re going to do arbitrary two-week builds. This means we’re tied up in cycles of 2-3 days each time we want to get a build working because it takes so long to tie everything back together again. I’m sure if we had even a daily build cycle, we wouldn’t be driving the quality of our code down like this…
Sometimes I just feel like throwing up my hands in despair because no-one in management seems to care about the problem, and they just say that continuous builds are an unnecessary overhead and a luxury!
